A Commitment to Excellence in Healthcare
Jaffer graduated from the Advanced Diploma program in Chiropody at the Michener Institute of Education at UHN, Toronto. An enthusiastic practitioner, he combines his diverse skill set with chiropody to provide patients the highest level of care within an ethical and evidence-based framework. He is a proud recipient of the Dr. Diana Michener Schatz Award for academic excellence and innovative thinking.
With a background as a foreign-trained ENT surgeon and over thirty years in various healthcare roles including working with the Ministry of Health of five countries before coming to Canada, Jaffer brings extensive experience and transferable skills to his practice. In Canada, he further integrated his medical career with information and healthcare technologies, earning a High Honors Diploma in Information Technologies Support Services from Sheridan College and a Certificate in Health Informatics from Ryerson University. He worked as a Simulation Specialist at SickKids Hospital, Toronto where he met the technological needs for high-fidelity pediatric emergency medicine simulations for simulation-based medical education and training.
Jaffer has worked in several chiropody clinics across Ontario, including private practices, Hospital, Community Health Centers, and a Family Health Team. He traveled extensively to broaden his knowledge and become a well-rounded professional, gaining experience in various chiropody roles in Timmins, Toronto, Newmarket, Ottawa, Kemptville, Mississauga, Brampton, and now in Port Elgin, covering all four directions of the province of Ontario.
Jaffer is committed to a holistic approach to foot health, utilizing creative clinical methods and advancing healthcare processes. He has experience working with patients with disabilities, wounds, trauma, surgery, infectious diseases, and dysfunctional foot biomechanics. His chiropody services include diabetic foot care, custom orthotics, nail care, soft tissue surgery, and treatment for various foot conditions.
Jaffer served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Ontario Society of Chiropodists, working towards advancing the chiropody profession and supporting various educational events and membership initiatives, and made valuable contributions to the Chiropody Policies and Procedures Manual.
